Whether you develop an app that will run in container or you want to have an isolated and redeployable development environment, Devcontainers is the right tool for you. I appreciate it when I need to switch between projects using different environments. I can have one IDE window running "debian/C++/gcc-12/conan" the second one "alpine/python3.10/busybox" and third one simply Node.js env on a remote computer. The idea of presenting Devcontainers came up after my brother failed an IOS project because his bash script worked on his computer, but not on the testing machine. You can avoid it using Devcontainers.
